We're in the early days of a big shift in how a low code is going to be a key driver in this new revolution.
Too often assets are created multiple times, missing out on the benefits of code reuse and portability.
Even the original low code environment, Microsoft is moving away from the proprietary model, with its new LAMBDA function
allowing you to share code blocks between different projects. These newly defined
functions can call other LAMBDA-defined functions, to arbitrary depth, even recursively.
The power of LAMBDA
Researchers have known since the 1960s that Church’s lambda notation is a foundation for a wide
range of programming languages and hence is a highly expressive programming construct in its own
right.
Lambda can be an argument to another lambda or its result.
Lambdas can return lambdas, they can directly call themselves recursively, and so on.
